HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
Q. I want the best possible result for my new résumé and cover letter and understand that this takes time. However, I would like to know how long I can expect it to take before I receive the first draft of my new résumé and cover letter?
A. As industry leaders, Résumés At Work® is usually booked a minimum of 10 to 14 days in advance, so you will need to keep this in mind when planning your career transition. Résumés At Work® creates high quality documents, for high quality candidates, and we invest numerous hours on your behalf to ensure we provide you with the best possible result. It is important to note that we are not a mid to low-range résumé-writing service which relies on high-volume turnover of mass-produced documents, at cheaper prices, to make a profit. For this reason, we also do not compromise the quality of what we do by offering a “rush service”. It is typical to receive your new résumé and cover letter from us approximately 2 weeks after booking.

HOW DO YOU GATHER MY INFORMATION?
Q. I have noticed on your Contact page that you ask me to forward my current résumé to you for a no-obligation assessment. If I ultimately decide to proceed, how do you gather ADDITIONAL information from me to write a superior quality résumé?
A. Once you’ve decided to commission Résumés At Work®, we will develop a résumé strategy for you to best meet your current career needs. This strategy will take into account your level and degree of experience, your current career goals, and any potential “problem areas" which might need to be addressed. Once we’ve chosen the optimal strategy for you, we will then prepare and forward you a series of individually-tailored questions (no one-size-fits-all questionnaires). You will receive your Personalised Questions as an email attachment in MS Word format and you will have a minimum of 3 days (and often up to a week) to complete and return your answers.

HOW DO I PAY YOU?
Q. What payment options do I have and when do I need to pay you?
A. Résumés At Work® currently accepts payment by Visa, MasterCard, EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), Over-the-Counter Deposit at any Westpac Branch or by Australian Money Order. All payments must be made in Australian Dollars only. As Résumés At Work® creates résumés and cover letters for clients around Australia and around the world, we necessarily have a policy of up-front payment of our fees. We will forward you a Payment Options Form soon after you've decided to commission us. If you choose to pay by Credit Card, you can return your Payment Options Form to us by fax or post.

WILL I GET A CHANCE TO MAKE CHANGES?
Q. Will I receive a first draft of my new résumé from you before I receive the “finished product”? If I need to, I would like the opportunity to ask Résumés At Work® to make changes to the written content of my résumé and cover letter.
A. Certainly. Résumés At Work® will provide you with up to 2 drafts of your new résumé and cover letter before providing you with the final version. The vast majority of clients find that only one draft is necessary, and many of our clients find that they don’t need to make any changes at all!

DO YOU WRITE SELECTION CRITERIA?
Q. I need someone to write selection criteria responses as part of an application. Do you also address selection criteria?
A. Unfortunately, no. At Résumés At Work® we specialise in writing high-impact, résumés and cover letters.

DO I REALLY NEED TO SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO HAVE MY RESUME PREPARED?
Q. I'm impressed by everything your service has to offer but, I must admit, there is a part of me that baulks at spending hundreds of dollars on having a résumé and cover letter prepared. Is it really necessary if I want to secure a better job in the Australian or International job markets?
A. How much time, money and effort have you expended on your career and / or education to date? A considerable amount we would guess. Does it make sense not to also invest in having a high quality résumé prepared to powerfully showcase your unique talents and accomplishments to potential employers? A superior-quality résumé attracts superior-quality interviews and career opportunities. No matter how significant your qualifications, experience and achievements, your résumé is the critical document which needs to convey this to potential employers. “Saving money” on having your résumé prepared by a cheaper résumé-writing service could actually cost you quite a lot of money, not to mention valuable career opportunities, in the long run.
